Sketches and Introductions

As I write this, I am drinking some horrible coffee to stay awake because I haven't gone to sleep yet. This past semester I've pulled more all-nighters than any other one, I think.

Been working on some sketching tonight—and every night, it seems. Here are some concepts for a poster series that encourages young people to read:

Happy designing! Until next time.

Gale Force Finals

This is my seventh, and final, season of finals.

Comparing the approaching onslaught of end-of-semester projects to a torrential storm seems fitting. I look, metaphorically, into the sky as it grows black with looming deadlines.

These are my final thirteen days of college. And they're gonna be rough.

Why am I starting a blog right now, in the midst of it? I have no idea. Maybe I'm like one of those storm-chasers who secretly finds pleasure in closely documenting terrifying natural disasters. Maybe, like them, I draw inspiration from the extreme times, to be mulled over and reflected upon in the dull times.

Or maybe not.

Whatever my motivation, I am not defined by the storms that face me. And neither are you. So, in the next few days, expect whirlwind posts with sketches and plans and messes as I wrestle these finals to the ground. Now, where's my planner? And I'm going to need a lot of tea.
(I think I'm drinking strawberry tea, but it's hard to be sure. I traded for it with a girl who lives downstairs.)

Does anyone else have crazy amounts of final tests/projects right now? What helps get you through it?
